Company Profile

History

Ilico.net was founded at the beginning of 2004 with private funds to create and market location services (person tracking) in order to respond to people’s growing need for safety as well as to provide secured location information for use by third party applications [The person location industry in the USA involves 98 million people and represents a $1.2 billion market– Source : Studies carried out in 2004 by D.Tilson from the University of Cleveland, Ohio – USA].

Ilico.net created person location services that respect people’s privacy in accordance with European directives, the rules and regulations of each European country as well as the Codes of Practice of the various cellular phone operators. The location services are based on locating cellular phones and individual terminal with proven success rates that stretch across all age brackets (Over 452 million GSMs in Europe – Source: EMC World Cellular Database).

Ilico.net created and operates a location service platform since mid-2004 for locating cellular phones through Cell-ID/Cell-Id+, that initially operated in France, then in Belgium, England and Germany. Ilico.net can also locate the phones of the new A-GPS cellular phone generation.

Ilico.net formed strategic partnerships with leading distributors of cellular phones and telecommunications equipment in order to market its location services.

Ilico.net boasts several thousand clients in Europe to date who track their children and it obtained the status of Jeune Entreprise Innovante (JEI) / Young Innovative Company in 2004.

Our vision

Tracking people enables the reduction of the risks of people in dangerous situations considerably (old people, health care providers, children, etc.). The use of location services by a worried parent is very ideal when the latter cannot link their child on its cellular phone.
The use of person location services for dependent and / or old persons is also ideal for people who are responsible for them.

The health care, security as well as insurance and welfare industries are seeking innovative solutions to enable them to meet their emergencies. The Child Locating industry in particular is estimated at more than 10 million children in Europe and 15% of families in France with a child who has a cellular phone indicated their willingness to locate their child [Source: ilico.net].

The Entertainment industry in the broader sense, represents an enormous potential for locating people, or even Friend Finding, used particularly for dating, wireless chat, role plays, etc.

In short, locating people is a service that is rapidly becoming commonplace in universal directory services (for ex. : no. 118 in France) or emergency calls (for ex. : no. 112 in Europe).

Ilico.net developed a location services platform that is both open to integration with third party systems (terminals, phone books, etc.) as well as modular for responding to specific needs of the market and regulations with regard to European countries. .
